I AM: Always New is an exploration of transformation—how identity shifts across time, memory, and the evolving perception of the self. Featuring works by Jason Bard Yarmosky, Andi Schreiber, and Anthony Goicolea, this exhibition examines the passage of youth into adulthood, the tension between physical aging and internal vitality, and the impact of memory on self-perception. Through painting, photography, and video, these artists navigate the personal and collective experiences of growing up, growing older, and redefining who we are within social, cultural, and historical contexts. Yarmosky’s work reflects on the psychological complexities of aging, juxtaposing the realities of the present with the idealized recollections of the past. Schreiber turns the lens on herself to explore the invisibility and desire of middle age, confronting societal expectations with raw intimacy. Goicolea, through digital manipulation and staged photography, dissects adolescence, identity formation, and the ways institutional systems shape our understanding of selfhood. Together, these artists reveal the fluidity of identity—where past and present, youth and age, and reality and memory coexist in a constant state of reinvention. I AM: Always New invites viewers to consider their own evolving narratives and the ways in which they, too, are continually becoming.
