Kickstarter Project
I have the opportunity to travel to Germany and visit the Vitra Campus, home of the Vitra Design Museum and VitraHaus near the tripoint of Switzerland, Germany and France. Traveling to the Vitra Design Museum will provide an intimate and hands on experience for researching design patterns and materials, which will be the basis of a new series of work for a solo exhibition. I've launched a Kickstarter project, please check it out and consider supporting it. The project ends on Feb. 4.

"Mountain: a force of Faketure" 8.22 - 9.20
Beverly Arts Center in Chicago
Curators Audrey Peiper and Gabriel Akagawa have brought a new group of the ever-fluxuating Faketure Consortium of Artists to create artificial landscapes in and around the architecture of the Beverly Arts Center. A 'natural' landscape is translated into an artificial construction as opposed to a romantic ideal. Through diverse media, printmakers, painters, photographers, sculptors, and environmentalists leave a residue of complex thought processes in an effort to define contemporary nature, "Faketure".
