the space between us
On the edge of displacement from frequent moves and recently living in a rural town disconnected from familiar settings, I’ve been prompted to explore how we define the concept of "home." My loneliness and need for social connections have guided much of my recent work, which is a response to this sense of displacement. Do we define home as a place, a feeling, or the people or objects we surround ourselves with? Is it a physical or psychological space, or both? I examine these multiple factors and the dynamics that occur when personal and public spaces overlap.
