these drawings are based on a selection of objects i thrifted, freecycled and purchased on ebay and craigslist. many of my possessions were stored at my house in michigan while attending graduate school in a tiny studio apartment in illinois. my living space did not offer much room for entertaining which seemed to only feed my compulsion for amassing households items that i could not use. these objects became a mere substitution and evoked a sense of longing and hope for social connections
